Due to hot and extremely dry conditions the fire danger rating will be upgraded to EXTREME on Sunday, July 25 (note: the fire danger was downgraded on August 17, 2021). Please use caution when enjoying the outdoors.
What does this mean?
You may have to change your picnic menu. There will be a full ban on BBQs (starting July 25), which means no BBQs will be permitted in any parks across the North Shore.
Fires, smoking are never permitted in any City parks/trails.
Please do your part to keep our community safe. Be our eyes and ears. If you spot any unusual fire activity, please call 911 to report.
