Love your City and parks ? We do too! As people live and play in our outdoor spaces, the demand to keep public spaces clean is constantly growing. We need your help to keep the City of North Vancouver looking its best!

Looking to organize or volunteer for a community cleanup in the City? Here’s a step by step guide with everything you need to know to lead or join a litter cleanup in the City.
Step 1.
Visit the Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup, register for an account and login.
Though it says "shoreline cleanups", cleanups can take place anywhere in the City!
The City of North Vancouver connects to the ocean through our vast array of creeks, streams, and even storm drains. Cleaning up litter in your neighbourhood, lane, streets, trails, and parks will prevent litter from entering waterways and the ocean.
Step 2.
Select 'Shoreline Cleanup' and review the dashboard for information on either leading or joining a cleanup event at your desired location. Select from a list of available locations, or pin your own location and provide details. If the location pin is coloured grey, it has hosted cleanup activity in the last 14 days. You can either chose a new spot or wait until the 14 days has passed to select this location.
Step 3.
Once you have a location, date and time, please email us at cleanup@cnv.org and we’ll arrange a spot where litter can be left and collected. We’ll also provide you with a set of gloves, bags, and litter collection tools.
Step 4.
After your litter-picking activity is complete, please consider visiting the Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup website and registering what you picked up and how much. This helps us keep a national tally and contributes to annual reporting and statistics.
What We Do
Keeping our streets, parks, trails, and plazas safe and clean for all to use and enjoy is a priority for the City.
