In April, 2024, North Vancouver City Council approved a Tennis Feasibility Study as part of the City's 2024‐2028 Financial Plan. The study will review the current state of tennis courts in the City of North Vancouver, assess how well they are meeting community needs, and identify opportunities to increase capacity and make better use of existing courts. It will also explore potential options for building new tennis amenities.
The Tennis Feasibility Study will be completed as part of the Parks and Public Space Plan (P&PSP). This approach allows the study to build on the extensive data collection, analysis, and community engagement taking place through the P&PSP. Key directions from the P&PSP are expected by late 2026 with the final plan anticipated in 2027. Any study recommendations will be subject to Council consideration and decision.
City staff are working closely with our parks recreation partners at the North Vancouver Recreation Commission and the District of North Vancouver to also understand current supply and identify opportunities for increasing access to tennis courts.
Further information will be shared as the study commences.
