When to Use a DC Fast Charging Station

Follow the 80% Rule. Fast charging starts to slow down when your battery is around 80% full, to prolong battery life. If you're topping up your battery and it's already approaching 80% full before charging, it's best to use a Level 2 charging station.

When using a DC Fast Charger, it's best to unplug when your battery reaches about 80% as charging beyond this point isn't efficient or cost-effective.

Charging Etiquette

  • Park in an EV charging stall only in you're charging
  • Put the cord away when done and keep station tidy
  • Be considerate of nearby residents by limiting your noise
