We're incredibly fortunate to have such a beautiful natural environment here in North Vancouver and we all need to do our best to protect it. The City is committed to facilitating and increasing long-term environmental sustainability within the community by integrating key projects and initiatives with education, cooperation, and action.
The City is doing its best to enhance the existing natural environment, protect sensitive habitats, and promote environmental stewardship among residents, businesses, and community groups. A number of policies, regulations, and bylaws have been put in place to ensure the health and safety of City residents and the protection of the environment.
As the City matures and develops through sustainable means, we build closer connections between our urban neighbourhoods and forested parkland. We all have opportunities to conserve existing natural resources and create an improved environment for both the City and the fish and wildlife that live here.
