The City of North Vancouver is now accepting nominations for the Civic Youth Awards and the Youth Centennial Scholarship—celebrating the contributions of youth, youth groups, and youth-friendly businesses. Nominations are open until March 9, 2025.
Civic Youth Award
Each year, during BC Youth Week (May 1-7), the City of North Vancouver honors young change makers and those who support them. Winners will be recognized and celebrated for their dedication, leadership, and impact.
Award Categories:
- Rise Up Award – Recognizing youth who have overcome challenges and shown resilience.
- Give Back Award – Honoring those who generously contribute to their community.
- Kind Heart Award – Celebrating individuals known for their kindness and compassion.
- Best Youth Friendly Biz Award – Recognizing businesses that create opportunities for youth.
- Awesome Ally Award – For individuals or groups advocating for youth empowerment.
- Outstanding Squad Award – Celebrating youth groups making a positive impact.

$1,000 Youth Centennial Scholarship
Are you a Grade 12 student dedicated to community service? The Youth Centennial Scholarship, administered by the North Shore Community Foundation, awards $1,000 to a graduating student pursuing post-secondary education in the fall.
