The City welcomes the public to attend the upcoming Remembrance Day Ceremony and Parade, organized by the North Shore Veterans’ Council, on Nov. 11, 2023. The public is asked to gather at the Victoria Park Cenotaph by 10 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available at nsvcc.ca.
The Remembrance Day Parade will start at the Armoury at 9:30 a.m. led by the JP Fell Pipe Band, and the ceremony will take place at the Victoria Park Cenotaph at 10:30 a.m. with the Mayor, Council and other dignitaries in attendance. Following the ceremony, the parade will proceed up Lonsdale Avenue to East 15 Street, where it will turn west and proceed back to the Armoury on Forbes Ave.
Road Closures
Road closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. during the parade and ceremony. During this time Lonsdale Avenue, East 14 Street and East Keith Road will be closed as per the map below. Expect traffic delays and plan your travel ahead of time. During the ceremony, the 100 block of East Keith Road will be fully closed and no residential vehicle access will be provided.

City Hall Closure and Construction Hours
City Hall will be closed on Monday, Nov. 13, in recognition of Remembrance Day, and will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
IMPORTANT: On Nov. 11, 2023 construction is not permitted and inspections will not be scheduled. Construction will be allowed on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, however City Hall will be closed and no inspection services will be available as we are observing the stat on the Monday.

About the North Shore Veterans’ Council
The North Shore Veterans Council was formed in 1948 by various Veteran Service Organizations from the North Shore to support the annual Remembrance Day Parade on Nov. 11 each year at in North Vancouver.
