Greenwood Park and Kealy Woods Park are urban forest parks located in the upper Grand Boulevard neighborhood. These natural parks offer unique features, including dramatic bluffs, bedrock outcrops, and a historic quarry in Greenwood Park.
A network of trails winds through both parks, making them a popular destination. The Green Necklace greenway, which extends north into Greenwood Park, draws even more visitors to the area.
Between 2021 and 2022, we completed the following improvements to the park:
- Renovated sections of trail
- Removed invasive plants
- Restored areas with native plants
- Improved park drainage
- Undertook wildfire protection measures (ongoing)
- Led stewardship activities with schools and community members (ongoing)
These upgrades were guided by the Greenwood Park and Kealy Woods Forest Management Plan, 2020.
