2024 Remembrance Day Ceremony and Parade

The City welcomes the public to attend the upcoming Remembrance Day Ceremony and Parade, organized by North Shore Veterans’ Council Canada, on November 11, 2024. The public is asked to gather at the Victoria Park Cenotaph by 10 a.m. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available from the North Shore Veterans’ Council Canada at nsvcc.ca.

The Remembrance Day Parade will begin at the Armoury at 9:15 a.m. led by the JP Fell Pipe Band, and will arrive at the Victoria Park Cenotaph at 10:35 a.m. with Mayor, Council and other dignitaries in attendance. The service will commence at 10:45 a.m. Following the ceremony, the parade will proceed up Lonsdale Avenue to 15th Street, turn west and proceed back to the Armoury on Forbes Ave.

Road Closures

Road closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. during the parade and ceremony. During this time Lonsdale Avenue, East 14 Street and East Keith Road will be closed as per the map below. Expect traffic delays and plan your travel ahead of time. During the ceremony, the 100 block of East Keith Road will be fully closed and no residential vehicle access will be provided.
