Public Hearings are generally held on the third Monday of every month and are regulated by the Local Government Act of B.C. Conducted by City Council, the purpose of Public Hearings is to provide the public an opportunity to make representations to Council regarding proposed changes to zoning bylaws, heritage designation or the Official Community Plan. In this way, North Vancouver residents can participate in the civic process that may affect their community, property and interests.
Any issue presented by letter, fax or email will be considered by Council. All written submissions received and representations made at the Public Hearing will form part of the official record with respect to the Public Hearing. City Council welcomes and encourages its residents to participate in the Public Hearing process.
Archived transcripts of Public Meetings listed by year are listed on the Archived Transcripts page. Videos of Public Hearings are included in the Council Videos Archive.
